Sicilian square named after an imam

Did you know that around the year
1061 / 453
a Muslim boy was born in Mazara del Vallo (a city on the Sicilian west coast) after whom centuries later a square in that same city would be named? This boy would eventually move with his family to what is now Tunisia because of the Norman invasion of Sicily. In Tunisia the Sicilian boy grew up to be a great scholar in the Islamic sciences "imam Al Mazari".
